NILproof ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation ("CEI") and provides an identity verification and NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deal management platform for collegiate athletes, content creators, rights holders, and enterprise institutions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our platform at app.nilproof.co.
By creating an account or using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Account Information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and country of residence.
Identity Verification Data: To support protected features, payouts, tax workflows, compliance checks, and higher-trust account actions, we may collect government-issued ID documents, selfie/liveness check data, W-9 or similar tax forms, and role-specific information such as your school, sport, athletic division, NCAA ID, or business entity details.
Profile Information: You may voluntarily provide additional information including your bio, social media handles, content niches, portfolio assets, deal preferences, and related public-facing data.
Communications: We retain records of your interactions with our platform including deal offers, contract activity, and support requests.
Technical Data: We automatically collect certain technical information including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and usage logs to operate and improve our services.
NILProof allows users to voluntarily connect their social media accounts (including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube) to display their performance analytics within their personal NILProof dashboard.
TikTok: When you connect your TikTok account via TikTok Login Kit, NILProof accesses your TikTok display name, follower count, following count, video count, and individual video metrics (views, likes, comments, shares) using TikTok's official API. This data is only visible to you within your own NILProof dashboard. We do not post to your TikTok account, access your private messages, or share your TikTok data with third parties. Your TikTok data is refreshed daily and stored securely in our database with row-level access controls. You can disconnect your TikTok account at any time from your NILProof Settings page, at which point we stop accessing your TikTok data.
Instagram: When you connect your Instagram account, NILProof accesses your follower count, media count, and post-level engagement metrics (likes, comments, reach, impressions) via Meta's official Graph API. This requires a Business or Creator Instagram account. Data is only displayed to you and is not shared with third parties.
YouTube: When you connect your YouTube account via Google OAuth, NILProof accesses your subscriber count, video count, view count, and per-video metrics via the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API. Data is only displayed to you and is not shared with third parties.
We do not sell any social media data. You may revoke access to any connected platform at any time through your NILProof Settings or directly through the respective platform's app permissions settings.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Identity verification data is retained for compliance and audit purposes for a minimum of 3 years. Social media metrics are retained for up to 90 days of daily history. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the Settings page in your dashboard.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted storage, row-level security policies, and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

NILproof is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
